CEA reported that the consumer electronics market has rebounded from 2009 and would see continued growth in 2011. Global consumer electronics revenues were $873 billion worldwide in 2010, and are expected to reach $964 billion — possibly even one trillion — in 2011.

    Also reported:

    — North America had 10% annual growth in CE revenues, and most regions of the world also experienced growth this year.
    — The BRIC nations are catching up with developed nations, and soon the developed world will follow the BRIC nations in CE sales.
    — LCDs made up about 80% of set sales in North America, and that figure is expected to grow to 90% in 2011.
    — Blu-ray had 23 million in unit sales in 2010, with 30 million projected for 2011. North America lead Blu-ray sales with 15 million units sold.
